About Rosa
Kia Ora!
I'm Rosa Veale Woods, a wife, mum, and multi-award-winning photographer + videographer based in Queenstown, New Zealand.
I grew up here in the mountains but spent nearly a decade away in Wellington working as a photojournalist for one of New Zealand's top media companies, Stuff. You name it and I've shot it, from portraits, events, and breaking news, to Jacinda Ardern at Parliament, the White Island Eruption and Harry and Meghan’s Royal Tour.
Photojournalism is all about catching moments as they unfold, and my approach to any shoot is the same. I love real movement, genuine emotions, and for each shoot to feel fun and relaxed.
I am honoured to have my work published in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Woman's Day, Getty, New Zealand House & Garden and Stuff.
